Jalapao

Jalapão is a vast and remote region located in the eastern part of the Brazilian state of Tocantins, in the heart of the Cerrado biome. Known for its dramatic landscapes, it combines sweeping golden sand dunes, crystal-clear springs (called fervedouros), waterfalls, plateaus, and rugged savannahs. Because of its ecological richness and unique scenery, it is often described as one of Brazil’s last great wilderness frontiers.
